Access Statement for Coombe Cottage
Introduction
Our cottage is an end terrace on the road into the village. We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, if you have any queries please do call. Contact details are provided later. We look forward to welcoming you.
Pre-Arrival

- The nearest bus stop in the village is 500 metres away
- The nearest train station in Barnstaple is 3.5 miles away, there are accessible taxis at the station
- Tescos in Barnstaple will deliver your shop
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
- There is a lay-by outside the cottage
- Parking is also permitted on the drive alongside the cottage
- Care is required when exiting the cottage – advise that cars are supervised
- The threshold onto the drive has 1 step – 4cm high, 4m wide
Entrance
- The front door has a step 15cm high. The door is 80cm wide
- The back door has a step 20cm high. The double patio door is 1m 60cm wide
- Both patio doors open up onto the drive
- The staircase up to the first floor has eight steps. The stairs are 18.1cm high, 30cm deep and 97cm wide. There is a hand rail on the right side
- Stairs are carpeted
Public Areas - General (Internal)
- Walkways through porch into lounge and into kitchen are 90cm wide
- Decor is contrasting grey natural slate up to 1m and then white plastered walls up to white ceiling on ground floor
- On first floor walls and ceiling are white. Floors throughout are pine with individual rugs in each room. Floor in the kitchen is slate
- Smoke alarm fitted on both floors
Entrance Porch
- Measures 1.5m x 1.5m. It contains wall mounted coat hooks and umbrella stand
Lounge
- Entrance door to lounge is 90 cm width
- Contains Inglenook fireplace with wood burner stove
- Rectangular coffee table in centre, legs on each corner, 15cm floor to lowest point of table,1.2 metres long, 60cm wide and 60cm high
- Free space between table and furniture is at least 85cm all around

- Road runs parallel to side of garden separated by 4 ft high natural grassy bank. Laurel bushes are growing on top of bank – nearly matured
- Garden bordered by 2m x 1m high laurel hedge on two sides and 1m beech hedge on far bank

- 10cm step up from driveway to patio and 15cm step up into garden room
